Eligibility Criteria of APSC Forest Ranger Recruitment 

 

The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. 

Education Qualification: 

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering from a recognized University in any of the following subjects: 

  • Agriculture 
  • Botany 
  • Chemistry 
  • Computer Applications/ Computer Science 
  • Engineering (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical) 
  • Environment Science 
  • Forestry

Selection Process of APSC Forest Ranger Recruitment 

 

1. Written Examination – 600 marks 

  • Compulsory Subjects: General English, General Knowledge 
  • Optional Subjects (2): As per subject list in notification 

2. Walking Test & Medical Examination – As per Forest Department standards 

3. Interview – 75 marks

1. Height: 

  • Male: Minimum 163 cm 
  • Female: Minimum 150 cm 

2. Chest (Normal / Expanded): 

  • Male: 79 cm – 84 cm 
  • Female: 74 cm – 79 cm 

3. Walking Test: 

  • Male: 25 km in 4 hours 
  • Female: 16 km in 4 hours
