Citizenship
A Candidate must be either:
a citizen of India,
a subject of Nepal,
a subject of Bhutan,
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Educational Qualifications
Botanist:
-
Master’s Degree in Botany / Horticulture / Agriculture / Life Sciences from a recognized university.

Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
Assistant Drugs Controller:
-
M.Sc. or B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields such as Chemistry / Pharmacy / Bio-Medical Engineering.

Candidates with a Master’s degree must have at least 4 years of experience in medical devices or drug regulation.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have at least 6 years of experience in medical devices or drug regulation.
Junior Scientific Officer:
-
Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Biochemistry.

Minimum 4 years experience in testing or research related to drugs.
Age Limit (as on closing date)
Botanist & JSO:- Maximum 30 years (UR).
Assistant Drugs Controller:
UR/EWS – up to 40 years
OBC – up to 43 years
SC/ST – up to 45 years
PwBD – up to 50 years
Age relaxation as per Govt. rules.
Pay Scale / Salary

Botanist: Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400)

Junior Scientific Officer: Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100)
