Eligibility Criteria of ICG Assistant Commandant CGCAT 2027 Batch

Education Qualification:

General Duty (GD)

  • Should hold a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.

  • Must have studied Mathematics and Physics up to Intermediate/Class XII (10+2) or equivalent.

  • Candidates who completed graduation after a diploma are also eligible, provided the diploma includes Physics and Mathematics in its curriculum.

Technical (Engineering & Electrical/Electronics)

  • B.E. / B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in one of the following engineering disciplines:
    Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics.

  • OR an equivalent qualification recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIE) exempted from Sections A & B.

  • Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics up to Class XII (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates who completed graduation after a diploma are also eligible, provided the diploma curriculum included Physics and Mathematics.

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2026):

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years
